Key selection criteria:

• Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) and CPA/CA qualified or working towards
• 4+ years accounting experience in public practice with a solid compliance background
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Personable and ability to develop strong relationships with clients and staff
• Problem solving skills and applying technical knowledge to varying client situations
• Proven experience managing your own client base
• Sounds technical knowledge of relevant and developing tax law
• Relevant small business experience including understanding the small business entity environment
• Providing advisory services for business growth and functionality
• Provide a solutions-based service for tax advice
• Reviewing compliance assignments of graduate and intermediate staff
• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• Working with and mentoring other accounting staff including team and system development
• Technical training of graduate and intermediate accountants
• Working closely with Directors to provide exceptional client service

You will work collaboratively with a Director in delivering outcomes for small-to-medium businesses. With your solid compliance background, you will enjoy autonomy as you liaise with clients while completing tax returns, financial statements and responding to enquiries. Our accounting graduates and intermediates will look to you for technical guidance and job specific training.
